Notably, while I was doing the pictures in front of the house, locals did laugh at me as they drove by (but what are you going to do. They can't steal my joy).
Welcome to Flat Sarnoff and Flat Farnsworth. Hopefully you revel in the joy of television landmarks as much as we do. So, let's give Philo and David a whirlwind trip through Chicago's rich television history.

The Flats Head to Seattle for a Grey's Anatomy Pilgrimage
I found myself in Seattle for a media studies conference, so headed out on a Grey's Anatomy pilgrimage. What better way to spend your time that to seek out TV locales. Much to my dismay, most of Grey's is shot in LA (and bummer of bummers, the big Ferry accident episode was shot on green screen--and in a parking lot nonetheless). Anyway, I was not deterred. I walked a mile and a half uphill from the Space Needle to 303 West Comstock Street on Queen Anne Hill (in cowboy boots and I'm paying for it now) to find the location used for exteriors of Meredith's house. (For those non-Grey's enthusiasts, it's the house that previously belonged to Meredith's mother and then was later shared by various combos of docs and interns/residents.) Below you can see the hills and steps of the journey, as well as Flat Stanley & Flat Farnsworth's appearances.
