Lesley Garcia with Flat Sarnoff and Flat Farnsworth

I took Flat Sarnoff and Flat Farnsworth on a little date around the city! First, we stopped at 1432 North State Parkway to see the house from Webster.
Because it was close to Webster, we went to the Playboy Mansion that was used by Hugh Hefner back in the late 50s. If i had $3.7 million, I would definitely live there!
We stopped by to Billy Goat Tavern that was famous from SNL to take a peek at their interior space. I wasn't hungry but someday I'll try their "Chee-bugga chee-bugga chee-bugga " !
I quickly stopped by to 42 S Dearborn  to take a photo for Newton N. Minow Way. I learned he was an American attorney and former chair of the FCC.
Next, I visited the Blackstone Hotel that was used for the drama show "Early Edition". Did you know that Gary Hobson lived in the Hotel during the show's first season?
I checked out the Nielsen Building in 200 W Jackson and I learned that Nielsen was best known for the Nielsen rating for television, radio, and newspapers.
Our little date night concluded with visiting Oprah’s Harpo Studios at 1058 W Washington Blvd. I was having trouble finding that place because I couldn't the numbers in the building but it was right by McDonalds headquarters and Politan Row.

So, me and David Sarnoff spent the course of 3, maybe 4 days out in the town living our best lives lmao.

I originally had made this David Sarnoff Based on this picture of him in his youth
However, I wasn't present in the photos so I had a bit of a Re-Do. With the Updated Sarnoff

Here's us at our First Landmark was on Newton Minow Way, by the Chase Bank. It took me a good minute to be like, "wait, what am I looking for?"

The Neilsen Building was next on my Landmarks, interesting story. My first go around, the security lady nearly threw a fit because I was quote on quote, not allowed to take pictures of the building. So I waited for her to leave. It was also freezing at this point.

The third landmark, the Blackroom Hotel. I was here a couple of years ago for my explore Chicago class,

As the sun was setting, Sarnoff and I headed to Buckingham fountain. There was a couple doing wedding photos on the other side of me and I was like "sis, do you not know you can get like hypothermia or something out here."

First stop of the day and landmark 4, the Museum of Broadcasting. I took a pic of the building as well because I didn't think I did a good job of getting it in frame,

I like love The Billy Goat tavern. I went to Whitney Young Magnet High School, so the Billy Goat's on Maddison and Ogden was my usual hangout ($3.33 Student special gave me life).  A bit tricky to find this one, but we did.

Lastly, The Old Cooke County Hospital. Like I said earlier, I went to HighSchool two/three blocks down-ish. It was no challenge finding this place, I've had relatives that were born here. ER definitely picked a cool place for facades with its cool architecture and nice buttressing. They're doing construction on most of it, it was a tagged up decrepit ruin not too long ago.

The first landmark that Sarnoff and I visited was the Old Cook County Hospital. Although under renovation, I could understand why this hospital was used for ER. It was beautiful and had a lot of character. Fun fact: my cousin is an architect working on the Cook Country Hospital's facade renovation.

The second landmark that Sarnoff and I visited was the Nielsen Building in the loop. I originally did not know what Nielsen did, but it was very interesting to find out that they work to understand consumer patterns for shopping and media usage.

Up next was a trip to the Buckingham Fountain. Unfortunately I had a brain fart and forgot to pose like Al Bundy with his hand in his pants. With that aside, I enjoyed visiting the popular Chicago location. The fountain wasn't running but it was still beautiful and monumental. My brother cam with Sarnoff and I because the Buckingham Fountain is one of his favorite Chicago  hangout spots.

Midday Sarnoff and I decided to grab a bite to eat at The Billy Goat Tavern. The food was quite greasy and tasty. My dad accompanied us and he kept on raving about how popular and hilarious the Saturday Night Live skit was. No Pepsi-coke!!!

One of our stops was at the Museum of Broadcast Communication. I was impressed by all of the memorabilia this museum had on display. A lot of the artifacts were clothing that famous artists wore in he past. I decided to take my picture with the iconic outfit Andre 3000 wore during his Hey Ya! music video.

The Original Playboy Mansion was surprisingly inconspicuous, and I was expecting there to be signs advertising its presence. Instead the grand mansion looked like just another extravagant Chicago house.  I can see how one could host a whole variety show inside the huge home.

The last landmark that I visited was the CAN TV Chicago's Public Access Tv building. Although the building was still intact, the actual CAN TV company was not at the location anymore. Prior to this, I had also went to the nearby Harpo Studios to find that the building had been demolished. With that being said, I was still able to observe the gentrified neighborhood that both of the buildings where located in.

First place Philo Farnsworth & I went to was the Billy Goat Tavern. We did about three laps until I realized it was underneath on the lower level. This was seen on a set during SNL as Belushi and Ackroyd created a parody of it.

This time both Mr. Farnsworth and Sarnoff joined me. Next place we went to was the Nielsen Building, this was interesting because it was right next to campus. I never realized how close it was.

It was getting quite cold and rainy so we wandered off to Newton Minow Way, it was a bit tricky to find but I got the perfect shot! The famous Newton Minow, famous for clearing the path for communications satellites, paving the way.

Then we went to the other side of town over to Wrightwood Ave to the famous Family Matters House. It has beautiful architecture and it was very cool seeing it in person! Interesting fact that the actual original house was torn down, but it was still interesting to see this one.

Ahh iconic. This was by far the coolest house! Hugh Hefner's Chicago Mansion! Seeing it in person was so cool, there were tons of cameras and maintenance employees inside. RIP Hugh.

Just a block or so down the street we ran into the house from Webster. The neighborhood was absolutely beautiful, they say Gold Coast is the nicest area in Chicago. I have never seen the show but since coming to this site, I have started watching it and I see what the hype is all about.

Finally to conclude the night, Mr. Sarnoff and I wandered over to the BlackStone hotel right on Michigan Avenue. The hotel looks beautiful elegant and chic. It used to be the old SunTimes building, so it was unique seeing it in person.
